More About Deja

Bio

Déjà Louve has been performing burlesque since 2014, prowling her way across stages in Canada, the United States, and Panama. With a love of sultry blues and heavy-hitting industrial, Déjà pairs classic elegance with raw, carnal power into a performance style you’ll want to see over and over again.

This Howling Heartbreaker has left a lasting impression on audiences across Canada and in Seattle in festival shows and guest appearances. She has been a semi finalist competitor at Imperial Burlesque Canada in Montreal, and at the Panama Burlesque Festival.

Deja has trained in various styles of dance and performance arts and truly honed her skills as a teaser at the Vancouver Burlesque Center and at BurlyCon. She has also worked as a professional fine art model for painters, art schools and photographers.

Equally comfortable working behind the scenes as she is owning the stage, Déjà is also a volunteer stage manager, rehearsal/tech assistant, and stagehand. She also runs the show as the producer of the annual Queen City Burlesque Expo, and all of their affiliated productions, in six different locations across the Kootenays.

Deja Louve is the recipient of over a dozen art grants,  providing ongoing paid opportunities to local performers, as well as marking resources more affordable for "levelling up" their burlesque careers such as mentorships, workshops, and photography projects.

It bears repeating that this fierce artist will stir your subconscious in uncanny and unexpected ways with performances that will make you want to take a second look. Again and again.
